Danish design house Modström has been making a splash on the fashion scene with what is described as “feminine but with a raw touch.” When this collection of designers, retailers and marketers approached us to develop their website and webshop, we dove in deep and got in touch with our feminine side.

The Challenge

Fashion can be quite fickle and for the impulsive Danish brand Modström their designs are always varied and always at the head of the trend. Being a major Danish fashion retailer also means having complete control over their collections and a clear read on their customers.

They needed a website that could aesthetically display their clothing lines and a webshop that was not just strong and flexible but also one that would be sleek and sheik.

To meet these delicate requirements, the project had great client interaction from first design draft to implementation.

Our Solution

We delivered a “look” early on that met their discerning eye. It put the merchandise under the scope to satisfy even the most critical fashionistas. For the website we settled on Drupal, and for the webshop we chose Magento, a system powerful enough to satisfy their analytical needs and responsive enough to satisfy savvy shoppers quickly and personally.

Modström now has a website for exhibiting their latest collections and a webshop capable of delivering its unique blend of up-to-the-minute fashions direct to its demanding clientele. And in taking on this project we learned a lot, about retail, fashion, modular open-source webshop systems and how to temper our own raw ambition with style and sensibility.
